Simple Checkout

Simple Checkout by Authorize.Net®

Authorize.Net’s Simple Checkout makes it possible for someone with minimal technical expertise to create “Buy Now” or “Donate” buttons for their website. Simple Checkout is the perfect solution for non-profit or political organizations that rely on donations as well as specialty merchants that sell single items (in quantity) per order. If you sell more than one item per order, please refer to one of Authorize.Net’s more flexible integration methods or use one of their certified shopping carts.

How to Use Simple Checkout

simpleleftTo create “Buy Now” or “Donate” buttons, you would simply enter the necessary information such as a description of the product and price into the Merchant Interface, which is accessible through the Authorize.Net Virtual Terminal. The HTML code is then automatically generated, which you would copy and paste into your website. Once your customer clicks on your newly generated Simple Checkout button, they are taken to Authorize.Net’s secure hosted payment form where they would enter their payment information along with any other information you make a requirement for delivery.

Your compliance with PCI DSS certification is now simplified with Simple Checkout because your customers’ sensitive card data is collected using Authorize.Net’s secure servers.

Simple Checkout makes it possible to customize several settings for each product or suggested donation amounts:

  • Product IDs and Description: Each product or item on your website can be assigned a unique product/item ID and description, which can be displayed on your website’s order page, payment form and order confirmation page.
  • Suggested Donation Amounts: Non-Profit organizations are able to set suggested donation amounts.
  • Maximum Amounts per Order: Merchants are able to set a maximum amount for each item, per order, that their customers can purchase through their website.
  • Verified Merchant Seal: By displaying the Authorize.Net Verified Merchant Seal, you will increase customer confidence, which in return could increase sales.
